Hindi Day is celebrated on 14th September every year. On 14th September, 1949, Hindi was declared as the official language of India by the Constituent Assembly of India. The importance of our mother tongue or Matra Bhasha. Several events are held on Hindi Diwas including literary festivals, poetry slams, speech competitions, essay writing contests, and others. Some organizations recognize and reward people involved in Hindi literature.
